The Rock Cycle
This is the process of the rock cycle. Here are the steps:
1-Magma erupts from a volcano and becomes lava this is called crystallization.
2-The lava cools and becomes igneous rock.
3-The igneous rock gets weathered and turned into sediment.
4-The sediment gets washed away and eventually down to a sea bed.
5-Over years the sediment gets compacted and cemented this is called lithification.
6-Then becomes sedimentary rock.
7- The sedimentary rock gets pushed in the earth by the cause of the plates moving and
other gelogical forces.
8-Intense heat and pressure cause it to become metamorphic rock.
9-Then it melts and becomes magma.
10-Then the rock cycle goes again.
-The rock cycle is a process when a type of rock changes and becomes a different type of rock.
-Rocks change from cooling, melting, heat or pressure weathering/erosion, and compaction/cementation two other things can also become rocks and join in the rock cycle.
-They are magma and sediment.
